According to this article [interfax.com], the English version of Google News has been unavailable in China for several days now.
| Although Google's English News channel is presently inaccessible in China, the search engine's Chinese language News channel was up and running as normal. |

This is not a very surprising development, but I would be interested to know what others see in this.

It is true. I found this several days ago. It will surely bring us Internet surfers some inconvenience. But i do not think it will bring any disasters for any of us,either google, or you or me. All internet veterans know the alternative option, without google news search, we can use yahoo news search. Despite political factors, we must see clearly the two-edge sword features that Internet plays. Do u agree with me on this?

Newtrove, et al. The great aggregators can't all be blocked. Yahoo news isn't the only other option.

Yes, the google english news was blocked these days.
I am from China. and recently I found I couldnt visit the google English news by using a direct internet connection.
If I want to visit it, I need to use proxy.

Why is this done?
Is google news publishing something anti china?
