I have been having a hard time copying and pasting chinese characters from a word doc to dreamweaver...

I have XP with regional languages enabled.
Dreamweaver has the proper GB encoding and have installed chinese languages viewable in DW.

I can see the pages ok, both HTML and text (in chinese) but I cannot copy and paste from word documents into dreamweaver.

Can anyone suggest a way of handling this? Thanks.

Paste it to plain text editor (notepad) first, and then from notepad copy and paste it to dreamweaver.

Thanks. I've tried that. It didn't work. I've also copied from Outlook and other docs. It all works within windows environment but not with dreamweaver. It seems it does not support some functions related to windows. I can copy from HTML doc to HTML doc, but not from an outside environment...

I had similar issues with FrontPage. The solution was to paste directly to the source of the document's HTML rather than to use the WYSIWYG.
