Do you have an updated list of Korean serach engines?

What I got is:

free:

[dmoz.org...]

paid submissions:

[kr.yahoo.com...]
[chol.com...]
[naver.com...]
[empas.com...]
[nate.com...]
[hanmir.co.kr...]
[daum.net...]
[dreamwiz.com...]

Do you have any info on these search engines?

but really, other than that......
you gotta be more specific. Its a relatively HUGE very very competitive market. Your question is too broad. There are over 100 search engines here too. ;)

but dominated by NHN....way down next is Daum, Empas and Yahoo and a slew of others.

as for an "updated list"...
please let me know what do you mean by that?

hhmmm...or perhaps if I knew what you were looking to do specifically I could help more. (ie: help you ask or avoid certain questions or trial and error) :D

also, if you read korean I can direct you too some VERY sophisticated Korean ranking/metrics sites (like Alexa on steriods).

They cross reference and categorize their rankings. So, you get different ranks if you want "combined search engines" or "community portals" etc.

wait...that gives me an idea for another thread! lol. eh! next time! ^^

Hi GrendelKhan TSU!

Thank you for your reply.

I am looking for directories that can give a good link popularity.

Are you an expert of the Korean market?

He sure is...take a look at the To alternate SERPs and beyond! [webmasterworld.com] thread. There was mention in another thread that it would cost roughly US$2000 to get listed in all the Korean directories/portals.

yikes! well, it doesn't quite work like that around here. Do you have a Korean web site already? and are you looking to target koreans IN korea? let me know. :D

He sure is...

lol. thanks for the vote of confidence. I don't know about "expert", but certainly the "loudest" around here. ^^
