My host has been down for more than 12 hours. All servers seem to be down and no response from tech support. The phone isn't being answered and no return calls from the many pages I have sent. I've dealt with many hosts over the years, this is the first time I've experienced down time for more than a few hours. Is this unacceptable down time?
Depends on your Service Level Agreement. In general, 12 hours is unacceptable. But I've seen worse with a Santa Cruz ISP - approx. 3 days downtime. Lucky me, I didn't go with one of the cheap-cheap-cheap-hosting guys. Rackspace.com still rules :)
