any ideas/thoughts/comments, snide remarks?

I am currently playing out some potential scenarios for future growth, given the current trends towards more pay out, less pay in, for many seo companies. (I'm still not saying what I do, got it? ;) )
And I was thinking that some of the experts here, who I admire so much, might have some advice on where to go to learn about marketing internationally my services...not only europe, as there are already excellent discussions here about that, but other regions south east asia, latin america, for example. Any advice greatly appreciated.

One way would be to cold call (email call?) large organizations which perhaps are relying on their name and have terrible search engine rankings.
Another route which is usually easier would be if you had some connections.
Have you also looked at some of the international job exchange boards? Bear in mind you'll be competing against some companies from Eastern Europe and India, but there are international SEO jobs out there.

I have to agree that jobs boards are becoming a pretty good resource to find clients. I've picked up some good clients from there. Look for those that are hiring webmasters right now.
As for marketing, there are some good resources coming out of the UK now. Australia is a great resource with some good engines to find stuff down under and in the english speaking portions of asia.

How about contacting advertising or media bureaus, lots of BIG companies don't contact or trust small seo's but media bureaus do, if you can convice them of your skills. Works for me ;)
