I was under the impression that fraud was at a higher instance than 1 in 20. Glad I was incorrect in that assumption. Yet another reason to obtain a merchant account - but it is expensive for very small companies. Been there. I would wager that if PayPal comes up with increased security policies and measures, they'll be able to keep service exchange with PayPal.

Well....if you can get a MasterCard, you can get a Visa card. Hopefully people will resist yet another strong arm tactic by a financial institution....but I doubt it.

Seems that one of two things will happen. A. People will use VISA. B. People will use VISA. Anyone have a MasterCard but not a Visa?

While they (VISA and MasterCard) are careful not to act as a monopoly, can VISA be too far behind with a similar position?

I have a mastercard because Czech VISA doesn't work over the net.
