|Google testing 3 ads on top, 3 ads on bottom|

Looks like Google is testing 3 ads on the top-left of the page (premium spots), and 3 ads on the bottom of the page, below the search results. Similar to Yahoo, but without ads on the right column. I opened my Firefox browser and saw the regular ad format with ads on the top-left and right column. But in Internet Explorer, I'm seeing 3 ads on top, and 3 ads on the bottom. This occurs whether preferences are set to 10 results or 100 results per page. The layout doesn't look that great, and I have a feeling it won't exactly help advertisers as well.

Interesting test -- I'm not seeing it on any of my browsers right now. Is anyone else? Could it be an adware injection?

Don't think it's Adware, I regularly run both Spybot S&D and Adaware and have seen this in Google a few times over the last couple of Weeks - both in IE and FF.
I have a screenshot though not sure if its possible/ how to post it here.

In the layout that I've had, there are no ads down the right hand side and just the three at the top and bottom as airpal describes.
Interestingly though, there is a column on the left hand side which allows you to switch between the search channels I.e Image, Groups, News and Froogle.
Can't see the lack of ads on the right lasting but I like the options on the left.
