Google Text-Only Cache Views all text in black vaniaul msg:725337 5:54 pm on Apr 1, 2006 (gmt 0) Hi,
I just made an observation that when we see the "cached text" link on the Cached Snapshot of a Web-Page in Google, then it removes the Text-formatting and shows it as a plain text in black color.
Actually I have a website that has
black background color with Content in white color on it.
Now when I click on "cached text" link on my Cached Snapshot of the page then it shows
black Background color with Content presented in Black color, which is invisible.
Actually I wanted to know if Google is considering it as a Spam in its
cache version [same background with same color text on it].
Please help me understand this and let me know the way-out; if I need to change the formatting of my web-page in order to be recognised by Google.
Its been an year now and there are hardly any results. Please help...

The Google text-only cache strips out style attributes and stylesheets, so if you're colouring text using styles, but the page background color is set using the background attribute on the body tag, that might be what's causing it.
However I wouldn't have thought this would cause a penalty if the text is visible on the page as shown on your website with all styles intact...

So it might have that slightest effect. Even I was also wondering about this only.
