Definitely possible - it happens all the time.

Ok, is there a way to determine your page popularity, because I now think page popularity is more important than Page Rank, or am I wrong?

You might want to take a look at Alexa for the relative popularity of sites. No promises about how reliable it is. It's saying my site has been in the top 50,000 on and off. It would be nice if that was the case.

| Don't get the joke, I'm afraid. I don't use the Alexa toolbar, or even the Google one. I've just checked into Alexa's related info for my site on the web.

my guess about the joke: the joke is that Alexa ratings are based on what sites people visit who use their toolbar. meaning that if you have their toolbar installed, and you visit your site a lot, your Alexa rank will be higher. just a friendly joke. :)

It is possible to get lots of visitors with low PR. But generally the low PR status will not remain for a long time because of a much higher chance of getting quality links from the high traffic. PR does not mean much. To get a PR 6 site, all you need is 1 link from a PR7 page. You can still be getting no traffic at all.

| That is pretty funny. If my ranking in Google was based on how often I checked where my site was in the SEPRS I'd be #1 for sure.
