i just started consulting for a client that had a php site in a framset. I obviously suggetsed removing the framset. The PageRank of the root url ie: www.example.com is and always was 5 and because it was frames based all the other pages showed a pr of 5. since i have removed the frame all the other pages are now 0.
Will google adjust the PR of the other sub urls? and if so when?
One good thing is that all the urls are now indexed whereas previously only the "root" url was indexed.
Could somebody shed some light on this?

Since the site was originally in frames, it technically had one URL for all the pages www.example.com, so the PR that showed up on all the subpages didn't really belong to them but rather the main domain. Now that you have new URLs (e.g. www.example.com/about.html) the pages don't show any PR.
The PR from the home page will eventually flow to the subpages, but you'll have to wait till the next PR update to actually see it on the toolbar.
