Okay. Here's my question. I started my website back in early December, and since then I've gotten about 9,000 unique visitors. Several large (and many small) sites in my catagory have linked to me during this time, with high pageranks. I've gotten about 200 hits from Google during this time.

My pagerank remains at zero however, and when I google search for links to my site (using the link:mysitehere.com thing), and nothing comes up. What's up? I mean I can understand the no pagerank at this early stage, but the no link-tos? Any thoughts?

First off Link: means nothing. That has been broken for a very long time. Try "www.yourdomain.com" with the quotes. That should give you something. Does your site come up at all for any search like "www.yourdomain.com" or site:www.yourdomain.com. It is very hard for a new site to rank for much these days. It is possible but very hard to rank for any good term this early . A lot of people call it the sandbox.

ah i searched for www.mysite.com in google, and it then gave me the option to find sites that contained the phrase 'www.mysite.com' and i did that and it worked. cool, thanks.
