For TV watchers in the USA: At the end of ABC's "World News Tonight" just now, anchor Bob Woodruff commented that he will be reporting from Google headquarters in Mountain View CA tomorrow evening (Friday 1/20).

I'm sure this has to do with the government requesting their data. Matt Cutts has a cryptic mention that this will be interesting but he won't say anything right now.

At this point in time, which is a more powerful political machine, the Bush administration, or Google? And this might be a good time to define the boundaries of this thread Charter-wise, since it is by it's very nature political, and is so important that it cannot be ignored.
