multiple sites in a basic account
will it affect SE position?

I have 3 websites going live soon - after a year of hard work! I'm researching webhosts and I see that some offer multiple sites on a single $10 to $15 basic account. Is it okay to have all 3 sites in one basic account? - while not compromising on ranking high in the SERPs. The sites don't interlink.

Thanks,
ew

Hi eveningwalk,
Your sites will simply share the same IP, therefore if the sites don't interlink, you will have no problem with any search engine.

It's generally worth getting your own ip address also from your hosting company. That way you know there are only 3 domains on your ip address.

Is there some kind of time lag in Google indexiing sites that that share IP. I read something to that effect somewhere (probably in an SEO blog) - quoting a Google engineer at a conference. I can't find the article now - but is this true?

Thanks,
ew
