If you do a search for your actual domain name (without quote-marks), do you get any results (such as a link to your site), or do you get the "no results" error message? If the latter, then, yes, you've been banned. I have no idea how one gets out of having been banned. Eliz.

hi stapel, thanks for your reply, if i do a search on google (without quote-marks), e.g website.com - It returns a page with a link or details from where we purchased the website, as mentioned earlier. Does it mean that I'm not banned because "no results found" was not the result page. Thanks and Cheers!

I'm not 100% sure but I think you are banned if these two searches return no results at all: site:www.yourdomain.de link:www.yourdomain.de

River A few things you need to realize. 1. You may have bought a banned domain and are suffering carryover penalty. 2. There is no Google sandbox, there is a sites waiting period which can be shortened through proving the site is so popular it does not warrant the waiting period. <snip> was listed in search engines and assigned Google PageRank 19 days after going live due our tremendous PR push once we went live. 3. If you are banned, which it seems still too early to tell, you will need to follow Google webmaster guidelines and write a reinclusion request. 4. It seems you do not read your website server stats to tell you what googlebot is doing when it visits your site. If not you should learn how to. Hope this helps [edited by: engine at 11:34 am (utc) on Jan. 6, 2006] [edit reason] TOS [/edit]

The Google 'sandbox' is a myth.

Hi Yes yo u are quite right Jan there is no Google Sandbox on the organix SEO side of the business. There is a slight lag but depending on popularity sites can jump up high. PR for a new site can be seen in less than 45 days. Dr Garcia has an in depth explanation as well <snip> [edited by: engine at 11:36 am (utc) on Jan. 6, 2006] [edit reason] TOS [/edit]

srivegunta, if that site SEO1 mentioned is the one you are referring to, then I believe Google has done a great job in getting it as far away from its index as possible. That really is a terrible site, and epitomises spam better than anything I have ever seen.
