Submit a Sitemap to google, then wait... that's the solution. Be patient also.

Yes, It is
You can check the other pages and more on this test DC (if it's on)

It's not normal at all. It takes awhile for some sites to get indexed, but once several dozen pages are indexed it almost never happens that those pages disappear from the index. You almost certainly have a significant problem.

Did you make changes in your robots.txt file by chance?
Once spidered it's usually quite hard to get urls out of the index, unless you bann Google from a certain path using robots.txt.

I would agree that this is not normal. These pages have been removed for a reason. Your job is to find out what this is. ;)

I have a couple of new sites which are also less than 2 months old and their home pages are the only pages listed under the default google.com. However, I can see the other pages (over 100) shown on the test DC. I don't think they all have a serious problem.
2 months old site - only main page is indexed
Is it normal?
It might be abnormal before but I would say it's mormal now. Does anyone here have a site of 2 months old which has been listed more than the index page? I would like to hear it.

I have not seen the test results on that DC for a while - do you know if the pages you are seeing (when visible) have been crawled by Mozilla Googlebot or normal Googlebot.

I have a site two months old that has only the index page listed. Launched just as jagger began. I saw it fully indexed on a test dc (don't remember which) one day. It never migrated to other dc's and the supposed "test" dc:126.96.36.199 shows only the index page currently. So, I think you saw the same thing I did. And at the time they were switching the test around from one dc to another.
I think it proves my theory that we will see the "mother of all updates" sometime after the first of the year. I think MC referred to the test dc as "Big Daddy"? I think Big Momma is on the way.

My site in question shows only index page on the test DC (188.8.131.52) too.
The normal Googlebot visits only my main page, the rest of the site is heavy crawled by Mozilla Googlebot.
I don't think that this site has something wrong, it's layout is made with CSS positioning, the code fully validates. My robots.txt validates too and it wasn't changed from the beginning. The site is already partly indexed by Yahoo and MSN.
The only thing that i can imagine is that is was launched in the beginning of Jagger and Google decided to stop adding new sites in its index before implementing some large new changes in its algo. Maybe even soon (as Texasville said).
As far as i see some of you have the same problems with new sites. So, are there somebody with 2 months old sites already indexed by Google?

Test DC (184.108.40.206) is on again and my new site has over 200 pages indexed.
Check your new site listings, now.

Thank you FromRocky... I've been waiting for those results to come back in there.
If that index comes through, I'll be back in business - and thanking my lucky stars... I am so tired of eating ramen and living in poverty.
What are the odds that these results will be close to what spreads throught the other DCs?
7:18 pm on Dec 21, 2005 (gmt 0)
Thank you, FromRocky!
I have over 480 pages in this DC for the site in question and over 200 pages for my newest site launched a month ago.

Bingo. I have a site that finally has something besides the homepage indexed. Took only 9 months after a hijack early in the year. This DC is looking better and better. At least in some areas and for some things.

Good to hear that, but I recommend you double check your site for any possible problems for the crawlers, As Steveb said if your site is indexed and later your pages get dropped your site is having some sort of problesm,
If you have the same situation in yahoo where all your pages are crawled and later all pages dropped except homepage most probably its a penalty,

The Test DC is spreading again...
Round and round we go.

I should have got up earlier. Gone now.

sure enough - gone indeed.

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is a Test DC and why is it only sometimes available?
3:07 am on Dec 22, 2005 (gmt 0)
Mozilla Googlebot and the New Index at 220.127.116.11 [webmasterworld.com]
and why is it only sometimes available?
