Hi friends,

One of our site want to change is domain name from www.zzz.name.com to www.zz.com, the old one has very good PR, but the domaion is not good, so we buy a new one.

Now what should we do so that we can keep its PR and let google sipder its' pages quickly?

The plan we thought is:
1 Keep the old site for one month or more, and upload the same files to the new domain name server.
2 On the old site has a note let users know we have changed the site domain name
3 rewrite the old url to the new one, and keep it for one month
4 delete the old url and the files.

Does our plan can help us to keep the pages'PR and let googlebot spider deeply and quickly?

Thanks for your and advise.

301 redirect the old site to the new site.
Then keep the old site for MANY months (atleast 6).
Watch the logs at the old site.
Backtrack your referrals and ask old linking partners to update their links.
