tomapple, Google has only shown a "random sampling" of our backlinks. I have two sites with 1,000's of backlinks but GG only list 46 of them and those are from very low PR pages (my experience). I have lots of PR6 links that don't show up. Why? I have no idea! I have also been reading around SEO boards - many opinions are that .asp pages don't pass PR! They never have to me, so I don't link to a page like that. (my experience)

I'd try a different search engine - google doesn't seem to display up to date info if it might help a webmaster to understand what was going on. Site: links: and PR only seem to be updated every few months from what I see.

Is it your main page? I have a pr 6 site, and links from the main page don't show, but links from the subpages do show... I have (had :( ) some other pr 6's where the same happenend... (already for years, went through plenty of updates) I have one pr6 however that easily transfers pr and shows up as a backlink... Somewhere there is a magic formula hidden in this..

There is no magic formula. As was mentioned before, Google simply shows a random sampling of backlinks. Use Yahoo if you want to check a site's link popularity.

.asp pages do not pass PR - very interesting indeed, Is this confirmed? Are there any other page types that do not pass PR also? cheers

my experience say that google shows backlinks only from those pages , which have not been updated for long. Pages which have High PR , but keep changing , Goggle dont consider them as backlink. This is my personal experience. kris
