too many SEOs happy about 66.102.7.104, then it is likely that it won't spread...although IMHO it shows the best results...neutral impact for me though..brings back a really top quality site above me and one crappy one, currently at #2 vanishes

On 64.233.189.104 nothing is older than 11-27-04! On the other Datacenters there are still suplemental results until February 2004. My project has old Duplicate Content, non-www problem etc.! On 64.233.189.104 these URLs are gone and -> No filter anymore!

Just get a feeling it is going to be 66.102.7.** Many sites that "try to influence ranks" including whitehats have gone. The SERPs are full of sub-pages of heavyweight sites that have a oblique reference to the search term are dominating, while many smaller, yet more relevant sites have vanished. All these make searching in Google less pleasurable.

Did not correct mine until March - so perhaps lots of supplementals need to go for me until I see improvements.

| 216.239.53.104 is different from 66.102.7.** and 64.233.189.104 results. The latter 2 Dcs show such SERPs, that I shudder to think may eventually hold.

The results on 64.233.189.104 bring back my site to pre Sept 22 rankings except for a few phrases and their associated pages. My speculation is that the algo filter from 9/22 was intended to catch some parameters on a site but inadvertently penalized the whole site instead (by penalize, I mean lowered the entire sites rankings). The 64.233.189.104 type results have been showing consistently for me on google.com since last night (I'm in California). I hope it sticks.

Looking at those DCs with new/different results... I still see all my bad supplemental pages including a phantom dup of my homepage and a canonical problem with it too... But the homepage and several other pages are ranking well - seems like they turned off one of the penalty switches on those DCs. With my luck it was by accident and some freckle-faced kid will be brought into the office for a tongue lashing in a few minutes.

In regard to Garya's niche, I've seen some directories that charge per link go down in SERPs. This is pretty, pretty good. It was pretty bad when I had to pay to a "farm" directory $100 plus per year for an enhanced listing. These directory guys were getting pretty rich for doing nothing. Well, directory guys, I hope your easy life ends soon. In the meantime, do something useful, get a copy of the book "Who moved my cheese?".

>> Well, directory guys, I hope your easy life ends soon. first I don't do directories, but I doubt that easy, at least compared to other fields. I find it hard to judge others, when many think I have it easy. They just seem to forget that it didn't happen overnight, and that stupid mistake and I have to stay on the edge till it's fixed.
