It seem the backlink update has begun, not surprising after the heavy spidering lately, good luck everyone!

it seems most of us observed some or other form of massive dc changes. any new estimates of how much time a new PR update will take?

A PR update would be good, but what about seeing back link changes in the main index. Apart from 3 DC's showing new back links how long will it be before we see these new back links in the main index? It seems to be taking for ever to see any changes in the SERPS as well.

What update?

The results for the keyphrases that I monitor have changed only minimally or (in most cases) not at all.

same here. I think we expected an update, but it didn't happen. Some things changed but it can easily be everflux

Folks!

I might be wrong.. so donīt kill an old reseller..please ;-)

Honestly as far as my site is concerned, I like the backlink number the Dcs in question are showing.

However, I just donīt think that there is a backlink update yet. Maybe some other time between now and December, as our good friend GoogleGuy annonced. Reasons:

- results of the mentioned DCs where backlink update has been noticed havenīt propagated to other Dcs even after around 24 hours.

- the mentioned Dcs show an old version of one of my pages which I modified for few weeks ago. All other Dcs have been showing the new updated version for sometime.

- GoogelGuy use to post after the start of an update explaining few things, which he hasnīt done in this case.

As I said, of course I might be wrong.

There appears to be the start of a backlinks update, beyond that I have not seen anything myself (SERPs or PR).

The SERPs' are shook up all over the place in numerous categories we watch. Not much changing near the top in most cases, but spots 5-10 are different in lots of places. Considerable variation across dc's currently too.

The same has been going on for around a week now within the sectors I watch. Have posted that too ;-)

reseller yes I've seen peeks of it here and there for days, but as far as what we're seeing today, we see changes on many of the dc's, not just a few.

I've seen backlinks "updates" on the same 3 data centers for 3 days now with no others added so maybe it isn't an update afterall. However, what I did see were all new figures for backlinks.

Backlinks update on google and what? SERPS do not change. When serps go all over the place then that is the REAL update. If green in the toolbar does it for you then keep posting away.

The past ten days or so have had the most movement in my sectors for months, much more so than other "updates" people talk about. The backlink change means nothing of course, but I see lots of signifcant changes nearly every day.

Tons of total crap is being added almost every day, while some of what was added in the past couple weeks gets discovered and eliminated almost daily. Very strange mix.

It's kinda hard for me to check backlink changes to my site - google reports none to my homepage, Yahoo reports 281 from other sites. Google should take up comedy - they make me laugh.

All the data centers previously reported as updated appear to be back to the old BL count.

Is anyone else seeing that.

Not here, in fact more DC's are reporting BL's for my site(s):

64.233.167.99
64.233.167.104
72.14.207.99
72.14.207.104
72.14.207.106

I'm also seeing PR movement in different centers now as well:

216.239.57.99
216.239.53.104
216.239.57.104

I am not seeing that.

That doesn't mean it isn't happening but rather that the PR movement is probably isolated. I for example am checking the PR of a site that has been 301'd... I'm seeing PR being removed for the old domain which is why I said "movement" not "updating".

msg:771126

Something without a doubt is happening with PR, BL's and Index Count ... my 301'd domain is showing PR 0 in 15 DC's, the new domain is still 0 as well but number of pages indexed has gone up triple (3,820 to 10,300) along with an actual count of BL's (was 0).. the BL count has spread to at least 17 DC's where as only a few hours ago only 3 DC's showed BL's.

I know this is nothing to get excited about but for someone that has been waiting for any signs of life on 301'd domain this is good. Happy early B-Day to Google!

if the IBL in the update raise up to like 10,000 - is there a chance they will fall back down when the update dust settles? anyone experience this?

looked at my page totals this morning and my site seems to have increase by 200,000 pages over night.

new link totals have shifted to almost all Dc's

But where did the inflation of page totals come from anyone else seeing page totals hugely inflated while using the site: command

My link (the already mentioned 301'd domain) got updated in the Google Directory and is showing PR. Would this indicate a GDPR update as well then?

Yes Vimes, went from aprox. 4200 pages (accurate) to 12,500, maybe this is reflecting objects, like Yahoo is doing with their count. 12,500 objects I can see being accurate.

Concerning the Directory, it had a PR update from what I can tell, I was one below the top one(for PR) now Im the top one. All this in the last 24 hrs. Although the green bar is showing same as before.

Very strange - I have Google alerts set to notify me when new pages link to my site.

I just got an alert telling me that an internal page of my own site that has been around for a long time, is now linking to my site.

First time that's ever happened.

weird, when i search site:mydomain.com, G,s result tells that I have 11,000 pages but the truth is that I only have 2,000. They are now no different from Yahoo.
