Promoting a Databse Driven Web Site in Google

 6:45 pm on May 19, 2005 (gmt 0)

I have just completed my first ever database driven wesbite (php & mysql) or should I say a programmer just has. I have already managed to get it into google or at least the 6 static pages. How do I get the other generated pages into it.

Assuming that the pages have unique content and a URL that isn't too nasty, just some links. Make sure that all those pages have a link pointing to them from somewhere.

Try to make sure there aren't more than 2 variables in each URL, and keep the value in those vars under 5 positions.
Then just link to them from your indexed pages, and start getting links from other, external sites.

Having the page title as the product description helped my position immensely

OK. So if I do the search myself, then link the first page of the search to the index page then G will follow the links. Many thanks to all for the quick responses.

Make sure there are now dynamically generated duplicate pages or pages that have a bug and display the entire contents of the database or something wrong like that.
Also have a look at using Apache mod Rewrite to make shorter URLs.
