My site disappeared from the SERPs - some wild see-sawing - are we undergoing an update?

Hmmmm ... there does seem to be a significant shift in the results I monitor. Anyone else?

I am seeing a welcome increase in traffic, but not yet back to pre Allegra levels.

If your site disappears during an update, does it come back?

That would be nice. I've been bored lately. Would be fun to sweat and worry again for a few days. LOL.

I see three different sets of results across the data centers.

Examples:

216.239.37.147
66.1002.7.147
64.223.167.147

Good find alexdo, but I would not call it a major update. Most certainly some movement, but not major - for me anyhow.

I am seeing a lot of 5/14/05 dates displayed on the SERPs after not seeing any dates all day. Dunno if this means anything but it does seem a little odd.

Haven't noticed the SERP changes yet, but...

One of my sites has been stuck at X pages indexed for months... yesterday they picked up another 500... maybe a coincidence, but maybe there is change brewing.

The number of pages indexed from my site went from 545 to 848.

Alas they are no longer coming up in the SERPs starting this afternoon.

my niche is changing drastically from the #5 position on down. was in the #11 spot for months...this weekend shot up to 6th then to 12 now at #16. trying to analyize what is going on...what it seems is that sites that have fresh content are getting hammered, while those that have not been updated recently (one hasn't added pages or content since 1998) are holding position. Very strange...something is in the works for sure. My niche never changes, even thru allegra and florida.

the way this is going i will probably post tommorrow that i have fallen out of the G serps.

The changes I saw on the USA DC's have reverted back the old serps. I think this was just a shuffle of the data.

Just moved from #3 to #1 on my favorite keyword.
(On a data set with more results than "usual.")

This probably means... DOOM! ;)

No big changes in my niche here in China. But one new site launched in January seems to be out of sandbox. Jumps to 64 from nowhere. :)

20% more pages indexed showing May 15, but that many or more are penalized with title/url only. uh oh

Minor changes on the data centres here so far, but major % of pages on site penalized with URL only (no title) as reported by jahfingers.

Many of these were partial duplicates in some sections but not all.

Hang on...goin down.

I continue to see 3 different sets of results across the datacenters.

My site, which is BY FAR the most relevant for its keyword, no contest, is still off the map.

I've just managed to get one of my clients on the first page of Google. Its been a diffucult one but with a two word search. I've seen other positive changes but that one has been driving me mad.

1/2 of my pages went url-only over the last couple of days. Few pages have any content in common except for nav bars. This morning 20% of pages completely missing from index. All pages are paragraph-style with 300-1000 words per page.

No changes for me so far. However one massive spammer seems to loose serps. On of my articles is regaining it's former position.

Maybe the do some cleaning up and wiping away some spammers?

Doesn't look like an update to me at this moment.

It has gone back and fourth. We keep going from 3rd page to 2nd and back again. Anyone seeing a pattern?
