removing a google ban
how to reset your site post penalty

I theorize... that if your site already has a recognized google penalty or ban, that you could ban googlebots ip (or firewall the googlebot ip) on the server. After a month (or more likly) googlebot will still continually revisit the site but notice that it no longer exists. At that point it will still see other sites linking to the now "dead" site. What should happen is that google will reinclude the url back in the index (with a pr of 0) and remove the ban as it considers the site to no longer exist (as it believes the server has been dead for month(s)). Then you would see only the url (with no title or description) back in the index and at this point I theorize that google has also removed all bans/penalties on that domain and consider it a new site. Any feedback on this strategy would be appreciated.
