Filesizes 101K ++

I'm seeing filesizes in the Google serps from over 101K. That's new, right?

Perhaps. Last year GoogleGuy said that keeping the content under 100k was the "safest":

Check the cache, though. I spotted a 500K file the other day, but when I checked the cache, the document looked truncated.

For almost one year, Google has been displaying a Top 10 site with its homepage made of a little less of 300K.

Obviously, the cache only displays 101K.

Our country's connections are mainly via 56K modems. It's pretty funny Google's appreciation for over-weight pages. :)
