SWF links vs. HTML links
how does googlebot index HTML links compared to links inside a SWF?

I am working on a site wich gets a ton of google traffic. In fact, most our traffic comes through google. The site has over 600,000 pages indexed. I am thinking about integrating some flash-based navigation but am worried that googlebot will give different weight to the links that sit inside a SWF versus links of the plain HTML href type. If pages that are linked to from within a SWF end up with lower page rank than they have now, that would really suck.

Some research shows conflicting results, so I'm not sure how to best afford using .swf as a navigatinal system for segments of the site.

Please, to remain on topic, do not try to convince me not use Flash at all. About 87% of our visitors are able to display Flash.
