As has been pointed out in other threads age seems to be a big factor in ranking. I guess oler sites are more likely to have more, qulity inbound links but I definitely think there is a weighting towards the age of a site.

What I'm wondering is how much of a factor other people think this is?
Also, how does G work out the age of a site - it's apparently not just from when the domain was registered.

with sandbox the age of site matters more, also there shouldnt be excessive linking campagin as it looks manipulated, with time you will get more links, its very impossible to get 40,000 links in a single month(not exactly impossible but yeah close to impossible, this can be a read alert for Google team to have a manual check sometimes in future).

Grow with age , step by step
