Is it true that the update won't start until the Freshbots stop? Javi PS. Can a mod correct the spelling in the subject please?

>I make massive changes to index page every day I don't know how necessary that is. I never make changes to the index, and despite being a PR5 the freshbot comes basically everyday. Except today......... listen for the far off rumble as googleguy walks towards the "big button". :) <edit> Last sighting: 03/Mar/2003:06:54:32 -0500 EST </edit>

Saw this one once today: 2003-03-04 19:58 64.68.80.34 - Googlebot/2.1+(+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) - - 2 Before this: 2003-03-03 18:51 64.68.80.56 Googlebot/2.1+(+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) - - All times are GMT. I have been getting hit for 3,000 - 20,000 pages per day all month. This is pretty much silent for me.

Last seen 3-3-2003 (yesterday) for me with 4098 requests on a PR5. (PR may be higher next update, many new links) Other fairly new sites of mine (low or not yet ranked PR) had: 887,221,364, and 121 hits. It was a busy bot yesterday for me, thats 5691 hits. -Pete [Edited for PR clarification]

I am still showing a cached snapshot of one of my sites as 12/22/2002. Anybody think of a reason? I am getting visits from Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)every day, but the cached snapshot doesn't change.

Also a new site of mine with just PR5 on the home page and not too much PR aside from this has experienced the same pattern as my main site PR6+ (been a 7, 2 out of 4 months). Lots of pages pulled down all month - 200K - and now pretty much silent.

None since yesterday morning. The two days before it bombed me with 1,846 file requests, compaired to never geting over 100 per day before that! That was two days ago and only 59 of the files are listed, the ones they only looked at before two days ago.

Yep, over 400 pages today by 64.68.82.48-Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) I've given up on an update anytime soon...I just hope this delay means that the new DMOZ dump will be included in this update ;-) Erik

Just got hit by freshie too. However, someone posted last month that fresh tags were seen at the time of the update, so possibly this doesn't necessarily mean the update is still days off.
