I can CONFIRM THIS! Unless the chart on this site is lying.

Added: and, as I have almost 1,000 posts here, Brett would crucify me if at this point I falsely annunced updates. ;)

It has updated, but the problem with www2 listings is it gives you two results for the same site.

IN other words, site 1 will have #1 and 2, site 2 will have #3 and #4, Site 3 will have #5 and #6.

WHen it migrates over to www.google in 5 days, it will eliminate all those double lisitngs for each sites.

I think the update has begun! I am seeing the new titles/link counts for my site on www2.google.com and www3.google.com. They both are pointing to the same data center as www-ex.google.com (Exodus in Santa Clara), which was the starting point for the replication to all the worldwide data centers last month.

Right now www.google.com (216.239.53.101) is pointing to a single data center, and not the normal five data centers around the world.

I think they are now doing replication, and will amend the DNS shortly to open it up to the public the new database.

Sorry if this is a basic question. But how can I tell what my new PR is from www2 or www3?

My post seems to have disappeared in thin air. So I try again.

My results seem to be generally stable apart from one rise from PR5 to PR6 and another from PR4 to PR5. But many changes may arive in the next couple of days.

Hey Troels, I guess you hit submit the very split second I spliced all the different threads on the update to this one / sorry!

Anyway, they do have a sense for dramatic timing at Google, eh? For them it must be the wee hours of the first morning of the new year...

To see your new Pagerank on www2 before it is released to the world, add the following line to your TCP/IP hosts file:

216.239.33.100 toolbarqueries.google.com

For Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP users, the file is in:
c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

or

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

gg, if you want me to take it down, I will. It cks every 15mins at most on 1-2-3. I will turn it off mid month). Just trying to stop all the tool spamming that goes on here.

Also, I feel in order to keep this thread remotely usable by the end of the day, some the minor "me too" comments will be removed after a few hours.

While I have slightly improved from last month on all the key SERPs for me, including #1 for two of the most important, I think its time for me to abandon hope for one key SERP I'd like to do better on. Still #6, and a truly mediocre page went from #5 to #10 in the last update. :( Ain't no way I'm gonna get anywhere without managing to get some links from high pages with high PR. If anyone's got a PR8 page and would be magnanimous enough to link to the home page of my main site, feel free to. ;) Now I realize the error of not getting some ridiculous looking hyphenated keyword stuffed domain. Little I can do about that now, because of the problem of getting every page that links to me to change them.

Minor reshuffling in the middle of my results. I'm still stuck at #10 (sniff).

My backlinks have fallen from 790 last month to 718 -- and that's despite the fact that I added close to 40 new pages of content, which have all been very nicely indexed. Don't understand that one. The same thing hasn't happened to my competitors.

The major changes I made in the past month were splitting my sitemap (as per Googleguy's suggestion) and cutting down my keyword density. At least I haven't lost position, but I'm not thrilled about the update so far.

Just checked one of my main keywords. Last update i fell from #13 to #19. Now I'm #4 on www-ex. :) But of course it may change during the dance.

Too bad JonB. Any idea what went wrong?

May be a mistake about cutting down keyword density. A mediocre page is beating mine on a SERP because my density on that keyword isn't 21% like theirs is.

When I try link:yahoo.com (without www) on www2 or www3 - i get only 4k pages.
If that the new algo? More strict between www and non-www urls?
Or is it just me?

I was hoping they would crawl again before the dance. My cached page is my old one. I chenaged quite a bit about three weeks ago. I added about 40 quality backward links and cleaned up the html. None of my new backward links show yet. If the dance has come in gone, I have to wait yet another month!
