Ok.. sorry all.. I broke down.. I did it. I will be the first it looks like to say.. So, when do you think this months update will happen? Many say no to next week with Thanksgiving, so we looking at this weekend? Bets? I am very much looking forward to google hopefully showing changes on our site and being able to count backlinks this month.. last month they forgot! :)

*chuckle*, you stole my fire...

I don't think Thanksgiving eliminates any days from being potential dance days - people said there wouldn't be an update around halloween in October, and look when it happened :D

That said, the late update last month was right at the end of the month, and I've got a hunch that this one's gonna be earlier. Perhaps on the 23rd at about 9:16 UMT!

Hehe.. I did it! I was the first to mention the dance this month! Look Ma.. No hands!

Ok seriously.. that would be a nice date..

Bets..
I pick the 21st.. no time given

Well, lets not do this and say we did...

It will happen when it happens.

We could use some help answering a few questions [webmasterworld.com] instead.

My current site first appeared in Google on Thanksgiving weekend last year. Just because GoogleGuy goes home to eat turkey doesn't mean he can't hit the "Update" button before he leaves the office. :-)

Well done, Brett. There are so many unanswered questions. That list should be one of our main concerns.

Yup, agreed. I spent a good amount of time looking at them too. I couldn't answer any but I DID look. Re-post it often.

Neither had I. And I say with Hoople: "Re-post it often." I have visited it and even answered a few questions.

That is the active thread list. Linked from "recent posts" off the top menu bar. You can control how it is display in many ways:

- The form at the bottom of the active list can sort it.
- Click on the column headers to sort by the various fields. Click them again to reverse the direction of sort (per the little blue arrow).
- On your control panel is the "edit active list" option. Once there, you can edit the fields that are used by the active list.

GoogleGuy offered a copy of the advance update schedule in another thread. Did anyone ever get it?

coldcash: Spend your time between now and this update creating new content to be spidered for the NEXT update. Read some of the posts here on how to improve ranking both PR and SERP as it takes a lot of time to absorb. (I'm still bleeding from the ears trying to accomplish that :)

Backlinks are the same on all googles. Nope. No. Niente. Nej. Nada. Nein.
Number of pages of any given site is not an indicator.

I'm noticing that SE results are undergoing some major changes in the live Google. Those results seem to have filtered down from www3.

No link: updates yet, or PR changes that I can see. Of course, they come at the end of the update.

Nope. You people gotta stop doing that to me. I'm expecting serious changes this update.. and you're only provoking me.
It's all good though.. these threads just remind me that it's on the way and other people are feeling my pain hitting the refresh button
