I have noticed on my major keyword that a company has come from nowhere to 5th place.
They have a keyword-keyword-keyword.com domain
I checked there backlinks and they have 1'900! Which is good.

BUT I went to have a look at there backlinks and they are ALL guestbooks! Also the guestbooks have a PR of either 4 or 5?

I thought Google had sorted that problem out?
Anyone notice this or anything else?

Try waiting until the update is over!

No idea. We "optimised" for the new algo, and those sites who went down past update are up again, but we dont know if they have undone the changes or is just that the new "optimisation", code word for easy silly spammy tricks, is working. We will be more than happy to take down those "optimisation" tricks, so well try to find out.

Anyhow, Ill said keyword proximity is back again, but dmoz weight and anti-bombing measures are still there.

dazz, I would go ahead and report that site. We'll take a closer look, and probably use it as a data point for some algorithms.
