Things are looking good for me :) Many sites are doing very well. Sure some are missing backlinks but in due time they will show up, and if not this time around they will show up next time around so I'm not worried. :)

I'm showing no links at all on www2 or www3. I've had DMOZ, Yahoo, and the google directory for many months, which are still showing on www. Ranking-wise, I'm buried at the moment. Hoping this dance ain't over yet........

Still no joy for me: Google is still indexing the old DNS data and as a result showing a different site with keyword matches on the site that should be there instead. I suppose I send an email to Google...again and see what happens. :(

I have a website, which has zero links from other websites because it is under cosntruction and I haven't added to Google with the Add form. But it is showing a PR0. Maybe it is because I have installed the toolbar and of course I surfed quite often to the new site , while working on it?

I don't get it... The number of links to my site has raised from 2 (in www) towards 14 (in www2). However, the WWW2 en WWW3 results show only 2 pages. In WWW i have all my 60 pages! Should i start worrying or will all pages eventually show up when the update is over?

helpmebe1, I think several people here always note each update that PR gets factored in at the end (though I agree it is unusual for backlinks not to show at any point) so yeah, the serps will probably shift a fair bit just before results migrate to www.

Given the somewhat unusual www, www2 www3 behaviour in the last week I got a feeling we're gonna see a quick migration like last month. Good luck, helpmebe1

And regarding things like backlinks and PageRank, I would wait until the index settles down more before you draw any conclusions. Things can be in a pretty big state of flux as we change our index over.

So I was up 'til 2 o'clock this morning (Pacific time), no update, went to bed. Then all heck breaks loose. Typical, eh? Sneaky Google. I show a lot of improvement across a lot of websites, mostly due to a greater volume of inbound links. :) Nice! One site in particular is fun to watch. It's now #10, up from #50, for its main kw phrase, out of over 400K results, and it absolutely dominates on 13 somewhat less important other phrases. So far, I have nothing to gripe about. :)

GoogleGuy, About your comments regarding backlinks and being patient for the update to settle. Would this include lifted penalties? At the first of the month you were gracious enough to look at our site and others which were long penalized with no backlinks showing (can't remember the thread title). In our case, you indicated the penalty would be lifted and asked us to pledge to never again use a link club as we had for a short time long ago. In looking at the update on www2 & www3, it looks to still be in place as we show no backlinks, although in reality we have hundreds including DMOZ, Yahoo, and other majors. Your help and insight is greatly appreciated.

Lost ranking on all sites which included major two key words and phrases. 2 - 3 keyword groups last month done very well but have vanished this month. check sites and they have no penalties attached. Not to sure what happened. northweb

Shoestring it normally takes two updates for the penalty to go, think of it as being more related to the big crawl than to indexing.

If I can make a general comment... last update I got real upset over www3 & 2 results and most did end up in www. However, the result was not the meltdown I anticipated as I picked up on unanticipated keywords and on sub-pages so overall didn't really drop and maybe even improved a bit or at least held steady. At the time, like everyone else, I had little patience with those who said "wait for a week or 2 to see the effect" but they were right. My point, if I have one, is save yourself some mental wear and tear and don't get suicidal over early results.

Noticing sweeping changes in backlink calculations on my sites - some sites going way higher, others chipped down to a skeleton. Affects internal link numbers on some sites. Also bested for #1 by a keyword stuffer for several terms - same color/bckgrnd-text. Can anyone tell me how view new PR changes between WWW and WWW2 or 3? Have Google toolbar, but it only shows WWW. Thanks in advance.
