|competitor bought .net and .org|

A competitor bought both the .net and .org versions of my .com domain and parked them at godaddy. They do show in google when you do an inurl:domain search. Does this hurt me in any way?

no - your site is fine unless your site is some kind of charity and people actually type in the .org.
you might want to set up a google alert on that search though to see if they ever build any pages or steal your content.

Thank you for your reassurance. It has been worrying me. I do keep an eye on it. Wish I had the foresight to purchase the domains myself.

If they're foolish enough to begin marketing a .net or .org version of your name, then you win.
My fingers type in dot com automatically...and IE assumes that a website is a dot com unless you type in an alternative.
