|Omitted results on Google, they show fewer results then ever.|
I think they show very few results the last 2 month

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 98 already displayed.
That text come absolutly to often on real results, I tried one where the search results where 322.000, they only showed 3 pages, then the omitted results text came and the other sites was not very close.
Is it just me our has this changed pretty heavy here the last 2 month or is that also a part of the big troubles Google has these times.

Google has changed how they handle crowded results. The most extreme case of this is searching for Yahoo on Google. Google claims to have millions of pages in their index, but they only will display about 40. It looks like they have become very aggressive with their clustering of results.

I think you're on to something. I thought I had noticed this, but figured I was going nuts.

This also happens with pages that use popular RSS FEEDS and such that use the same headlines/excerpts.
Search for the complete sentence and they'll list 3 sites or so and then the other 20 are hidden even though the pages are on different domains and not at all identical.
They must be tightening up their dupe content filters.
Why stop at 3 I ask? Shouldn't they at least fill the page before cutting off the others?

That Yahoo result is really strange. 13 results and then 27 from yahoo.co.jp.
I was at least hoping to see forum 35 in there. Hey Brett, do you need an seo type to work on that for ya.;)

I dont see any improovement to this problem, I realy see a lot of results where quality content is missing because of omitted results, we are talking content with alot of different text and pictures, I dont know why Google is doing this, there is no logic to it, but I dont think its one of there bugs, like the redirecting issue.
