Happy Birthday big GooGle :)
Six years, congrats. Nice Logo.
So who's is Sept 29th? Besides mine :-)
I was wondering what was up with google today. Earlier I noticed that they were running the Athens 2004 Volleyball picture.
Now I get it, must have been getting ready to switch to the birthday pic ;) Nice touch, Congratulations!
Six years... Sure didn't take them long to get where they are. Congrats to G. Here's hoping for many more successful years :)
I was wondering about the Athens volleyball logo too? However, on my Mac, the birthday logo is a no show. Big red X where the logo should be!
Anyway ... happy birthday Google! Its been an amazing 6 years! :)
Happy Birthday, O Great One!
My thanks to the entire Google team for the wonderful service they have provided all these years.
No cake for us this year then?
yea, wow, google has a new logo...what a novel idea.
Er? whats up with this new logo...

well lets hope they wont drink to much and we wake up tommorow seeing another brandy! update.
While I was at Archive.org recently, I came across this first snapshot of Google:
Times have changed... they went from a "might work some of the time prototype" to a 27 billion dollar company.
I received 6 candle like cookies from Google.
I didn't notice the logo change until I received them by Fedex... nice touch for clients. I asked our affiliate program manager to do a similar thing for our 10th anniversary.
Are they saving a monster update for their birthday present?
Or maybe their going to give all the webmasters who go to their party a slice of PR to put with their party hat in a little bag to take home?

LOL - Oh the thought of it makes me cringe.

I like the positive thinking better! Lets hope so hughie!
that's odd, my bday is today too. I wonder if that's a sign of something ;) and I hope they hook me up with the SER
Congrats Google! I think they probably celebrated the IPO more but have fun anyway.
...and many more!
its gots to be fun
My birthday today too....along with ESPN!
I must wish also. Happy Birthday Google!
Happy Birthday Google!
Happy Birthday DroffatsX3 & Hugene!
You both should consider teaming up like Larry & Brin, you'll see how you could celebrate your future birthday's then! ;)
So now we have a 29 year old bully [microsoft.com] vs a 9 year old kid [wired.com] vs a 6 year old child just starting school [google.com] :)
btw, I just noticed I am now a Junior Member, not a New User anymore. I am touched by the honor ;)
Hope to be a Full Member soon.
Also, Google seems to have partied too much last nite and forgoten to update the images:
main page: back to normal [google.ca ]
search page: still the 6 year bday pic [google.ca ]
its funny when a corporation worth as much as GM has trouble updating their site. Makes me feel so much more normal and less lazy.
Can anyone explain why it isn't also Google's birthday in Ireland? My home page is google.ie, and I don't see the birthday graphic?
rfgdxm1, because they are drunk from the party?
happy b-day Google..
>rfgdxm1, because they are drunk from the party?
This hypothesis would tend to explain a lot... ;)
|Please Be Gentle|
rfgdxm1,The logo was there 2 days ago. It is no longer on google.ie, nor is it on my google.com. I have no idea why not. <off-topic>Does your google.ie always work okay? When I enter a query and tick one of the options, "Search the web" or "pages from Ireland", it works alright. However, in the results page, it doesn't retain the option chosen in the radio button. I assumed that if I had chosen "pages from Ireland" and entered a query, and then reformulated the query within the results page, it would show me results from Ireland as with the first query. It resets it to search from "the web", which is annoying as it doesn't do this with Google.es etc. Once you tick the option, it keeps it until you change it. Just interested to know if you've noticed the same thing.</off-topic>
