There may be PR, it may just be that we're not seeing it with the toolbar. I've just started seeing some PR0 site turning up for searches, I can only assume it has PR that just isn't showing for us.

Hi Marcia thanks for the reply, >>There may be PR, it may just be that we're not seeing it with the toolbar. << Now you are ringing little bells there .. there is a lag between googles internal PR (the real deal) and what we are shown on the toolbar .. i forgot about this... but ... Does this mean all my sites are soon to be PR4? eg loosing all internal backlinks means front page =< PR5? They are all PR6 atm. Has anyone else been loosing Backlinks like this? (bites his nails and waits for yet another traumatic google PR update)

Just because a link is not in what appears to be a random smaple of links that Google chooses to show does not mean you have lost it and does not mean that Google is not taking it into account. Ignore the backlinks in the sample shown by Google - do not try to intrepret it or read anything in to it.

My backlinks are still there. PR has not changed. Their PR has not changed.

Backword links from 0 PR pages are counted by Google. As mentioned by Marcia, these pages generally have PR more than 0 but not one.
There is no hard an fast rule(atleast i can't figure out) for a link to be shown as backward link by Google. Google keep slashing backward links during every update. Why, no body knows.

Ok .. well .. I wonder if they have changed it ... www.alltheweb.com link:http://www.myurl.com seems to be the only way of finding out what is really happening I guess PR or no PR.
