Dear Friends, I observed an unusual link back status with Google today. When I searched with link:www.mydomain.com I got "No Match Found" error, I tried with link : www.mydomain.com and for my surprise my Back Link was 93? Anybody tried this, just check with space in link : www.yourdomain.com and try link:www.yourdomain.com you will see different results for these two. Any comments? Regards.

Yes - this rears its head every so often.
link:XXX returns links to XXX - that is, pages with a hyperlink to XXX link: XXX returns pages that contain the text "link" and the URL in text form - there may not be a link at all! DerekH

Thanks for the reply, I understood the concept now. But there is differnece, see when I searched for link:www.mydomain.com G returns "Sorry No Match Found" which was 72 earlier, and when searched with link: www.mydomain.com G returns 91? Howz this possible. I agree the number will be different with both link:**** and link: xxx but the how the above situation occured for me..? Regards.

Same if you check back links with the [domain.com...] compaired to [domain.com...]
