Stumbled across this:
Google has now been up for over a month with the current database and we would like to hear back from you. How do you like the search results? What do you think of the new logo and formatting? Do the new features work for you?
Comments, criticisms, bugs, ideas, ... welcome.
Cheers, Larry and Sergey

Looks like googlefirends is still going (provided by Yahoo! Groups!?!)
The April 1998 newsletter mentions flink: to show forward links but looks like this has died a death.
I'm off to read some more, but thought others may like to know...

I've been a member of the Googlefriends group on Yahoo for nearly a year. They hardly ever send out material in this group... it's pretty much stagnant.

The 'gimp'-ed logo is an interesting aside, I wander if this is the logo of whether is has since been photoshoped.

I try to do all my grapics in the gimp (because I am a zealot and I fugure if LAMP is good enough...) and thought mine was a semi-novel approach, guess I was way off

Why is Google still using Yahoo groups when they have their own?
