New pages have PR this Saturday

Just noticed that a bunch of new pages on my site now have PR (on the toolbar). Sign of a upcoming toolbar PR update, perhaps?

I've also noticed some pages showing PR that weren't a day or so ago. Here's hoping!

Sorry, but I can't confirm that!

At least on the pages that I checked in happy anticipation of a nice green bar, temporarily abandoning the hitherto by Google unsupported (re googlebar) Mozilla Fire...(let me check)... Firefox (today), I fell back into depression as alas, no green showed up!

But, here's still hopin'!

I am not impressed either:
- I checked a page on my site that I uploaded on March 30. It is still PR0.
- Still PR0 also for a new site that has at least 3 PR4 links indexed by Google, including one from the Google directory...

I also have had about 50 pages added to my personal website. All of them have been picked up by Goggle on their search index, but the PR has not, and is still at zero.

I have no doubt that there is no problem with our website, but has something to do with Goggle fixing some problems with their PR algorithms. After all there has been so much abuse to get a high PR that I think Goggle is probably trying to fix some things.

I also think with all that is happening with their company going public, they probably have had their hand full with numerous problems and the PR algorithms is just one of them.

Not sure if Iím right, but I bet Iím not far off.

Nope, no update here. I've got pages that I know will be getting PR in the next update. That hasn't happened yet.

I believe that sites which were given PR this go-'round are already showing up on the regular toolbar.

Sites which are not going to get PR this time are not showing up on any data center.

Definitely no indication of PR update here! I have numerous sites which I would expect to see a change.... nothing :'(

I noticed new pages, lots of them with high pagerank...yahoo's travel pages, all over the index, probably other yahoo store pages as well. Good luck to everyone who isn't spamming the index.

>>I noticed new pages, lots of them with high pagerank

That's a constant occurrence; pages are added to the index daily, all month long every month now.

>>New pages have PR this Saturday

That's what I noticed - new pages. It may be that we'll be seeing PR on new pages before we see changes on pre-existing pages.

We just can't know if and when there's a change in the process until enough people start to see a steady pattern for a while.

Right, but I'm talking about the thousands of Yahoo sales type pages on every topic, travel, etc... They are in just about every category and have loaded PR because they are crosslinked in the thousands.

Not seeing PR on any of my new pages (last few weeks) here in UK yet. No update on older pages either.

The last too weeks is too recent.

My new sites which got PR are 2-3 months old.

Sites which went up in the last month or six weeks have seen no PR changes.

Ok, by last few weeks I meant up to the last couple of months, ie. no PR update here at the moment on sites that should get PR when there is an update.

Yip seen it!
A link was switched from an incorretly named page to the correctly named page about 1 month ago. PR has just switched to the new page and the incorrect one is now PR0.

PR update now definitely in progress!

I'll believe it when somebody posts a datacenter that actually SHOWS the new results. Until then... it's still just rumor and speculation.

I think there are a few people here who maybe are seeing pages that they just didn't realize updated already?

Remember, last month there was two PR updates, so maybe you didn't get it on the first one and never realized there was a second one?

Either way, where is my green?

The green bar doesn't seem to match the PR results of a manual check for one of my new sites. By manual check, I mean the following:

1. In IE, if you have the google bar running, search for your site.
2. Click on your link.
3. Check your temp internet folder for something similar to the following (where mysite is generic for your site in question).

h**p://66.102.9.104/search?client=navclient-auto&googleip=O;66.102.9.104;406&ch=62087353465&freshness_check=49cZQZd8f-KQpG7IeZGWK&dq=mysite&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=0&querytime=KE&features=Rank&q=info:http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emysite%2Ecom%2F

4. If you copy and past the link into your browser, google returns Rank_1:1:3 or similar.

Yesterday, manual check of different google ip gave various results. Some say this means PR on the bar is due for updating.

What pattern are you seing, those of you who seem to be seing PR-update? Is it pages with many backlinks and often being spidered by googlebot?
