Abhi, Congratulations on 9th. With any luck you'll move up even higher the same way you got to where you are. To my knowledge however, I believe that Google's algorithms are too clever to show any more attention to a reciprocal link exchange rather than a staight one way link. Those guys at Google are some tricky fellas.

Just keep doing an excellent job covering your topic. Google will reward your work.

I have the same problem, but my site is PR6. #9 or #10 or #11 between 3,180,000 results. Problem with unstable first-page position, is really a big problem, and I don't have solution. Does anybody else have?

I would diversify a little bit, and work on another keyword phrase where I don't show up on the first page of the SERPs.

"I'd give my left nut to be anywhere close to 9 again" :D hahahah if you were to become a sacklops, would it still have been considered your left nut? I would say that you need to just keep at it, don't give up, and if you get enough links, original high quality content, and good things like that, it'll happen for you eventually.

if you wish to move up you must do what Google is allowing and ranking for, sponsored links from a site that will place you on every page of there 1000 page site. Yep, that works very nicely on Google now.

I think we need here an advice for stable position on Google first page listing for our keywords. Or better, how to get on top 5 and stay there?

| Hee hee - sounds like a medieval villein's attitude to God - you will finally be rewarded, but not necessarily in this life :)
