Site URL dumped for Forwarding Page URL
Google Ranking 0, Meta-Forward New URL

 4:59 pm on Jan 29, 2004 (gmt 0)

My site was #1 for several weeks for its keywords then this morning when I looked at my Google Toolbar, it was empty, 0! When I entered my keywords into Google for a test the link was still #1 but the URL had been changed to a forwarding page from another site.

The other site is mine also and this folder used to have content but I upgraded this to its own site long ago and put in the forwarding page in to redirect. I believe this is the actual proper use of this tag and I got slapped for it!

I replaced the forwarding page with a paragraph and a link to the new site. Is this going to satisfy Google? If I remove it completely I will lose all traffic. Any ideas?

Sorry, I posted this thread and had to go. A friend of mine answered the question. Thanks anyway.
