I second that! And I vote for the raise, too! :)
Markets are conversations, and you guys are market leaders.
Great going, much appreciated and much enjoyed!
I definitely second the motion for a raise. Anyone with that kind of moxie, who's got the poise and the gumption to step right into the middle of the lion's den and hang out with the boyz definitely deserves it. More than a raise, give that man STOCK and a company car!

"Tell L&S that we all voted you a raise."
I'll be sure to pass that suggestion on, Brett. ;) I can't believe it's been two thousand posts. I remember when I went to the someone on the PR team way back when and asked if it was okay to post on this web forum that seemed cool; you know, just to answer simple questions and clear up misunderstandings. I really don't think I had any idea what I was signing up for back then. It's been a blast though.
To Brett, the mods, and all the people who have made me welcome: many thanks for making WebmasterWorld a place where people can talk about search engines and websites, share info, and try to help each other.
Thanks for letting me hang out with y'all. I've enjoyed the last 2+ years a lot.
I definitly want to thank you for sticking around through both the good and bad times to help the community. Now you can learn the secret handshake. ;)
This is news...why?
A big thumbs up from me to you GoogleGuy. I gotta figure that at times the climate here is less than pleasant for you.
You have definitely done a terrific job, and you definitely must have the hardest job of all of us. Kudos to Google for allowing you to post alongside the rest of us, wearing the company hat.
Thank you for your contribution to the Google News forum, and the other Google forums you occasionally pop up in ;)
Hmmm... does that 2000 include all the posts that were moderated out? ;)
Just kidding... congrats GG and thanks for all the useful posts.
When you get to 2000, and you learn the secret handshake, it will all be clear.
Congrats GG. And when I say Alta Vista rox, please don't take offense. I think it would rox even better if you were there.:)
Note to self-Stay out of those update threads or you'll never learn the shake
Well done GoogleGuy - and thanks again for all the help you have given to me in the past. Cheers!
U da Man...
Nice one GG, appreciate the running commentary - and may it long continue.
pure class GG!
looking for your 5000th post now ;-)
For that you might need to be frequent then ever
All the best GoogleGuy
I did it! - didn't mention Fl.. Doh...
Hats off to GG!
Thanks for the dedication - a great milestone to end 2003 with. :)
Thank you GG. It supports my belief in the basic honesty of Google that they allow you to help out here. Please continue.
Well done Sir!
From where do you get the patience, and the stamina to sort through the posts?
I trust that you have a massive dollop of chips for the IPO, you deserve it.
Very much appreciated!
With the raise and fall of many of our sites over the pass few years it is a very difficult task to be the champion of Google. I admit that I sometimes don't like Google and after Florida I feel very put off, but despite this I really appreciate the wisdom provided by you GoogleGuy. So I lift my whitehat to you.
Again, thanks for having the patience and diplomacy to hang in here when the dials get turned. If it were me, my tongue would have been bitten through countless times already.
Truly a man of the people. We welcome your sage advise, may it long continue.
The master of diplomacy! Look forward to seeing you in your next job on the telly solving the Palestinian problem soon. Should be much easier than keeping us happy here!
all that , and a bag of Chips?
a lake walker who keeps the toenails dry?
a hiphoppin slammin prose masta?
Santa w/ a keyboard?
Nah .... but for me anyways, the time devoted toreading here would have been less useful if GG hadn't been contributing here. So Kudos your way.
> This is news...why?
Most people are uninformed about how great the risks are for doing so. They are so great, that 3 years later, Google is still the only major engine to have the fortitue to let someone post in public.
Anyway, back to the topic.
> This is news...why?
Not your typical 2000 posts. One bad post could perhaps get one fired. They would have sent me packing after 10 posts.
Nicely done. Thank you.
GG's posts are like a great guru's mantras on how to do well on Google's serps. I read his posts very carefully and it has helped me a lot. Thanks and keep up the good work, GG.
