a few thought it was actually yesterday for awhile and now today for awhile. We saw a few submissions about this last night and then a few more today. We weren't sure which was accurate.

I've seen some new pages on old sites with PR already gain PR. though this isn't a comprehensive update yet. furthermore - i have also seen some decreases in backlink count on some sites, and increases on others. [edited by: caine at 4:31 pm (utc) on Sep. 24, 2003]

I don't see a PR update yet on google.com, just on the datacenters. Is this what you mean? jd

Mack - I only see a new PR when I change my host file to one of the datacenters. (In this case -ex) All backlinks and PR changes are on 4 datacenters and not google.com from what I can see. jd

Yep, I noticed it Sunday. Guess the datacenter I connect with was one of the first to update. PR, backlinks and new pages were all updated for my site.

I posted a similar topic, but my post appears to be "pending". This has happened to me before and I can't figure out if its due to a forum glitch or because some of my earlier posts were "questionable". (Yes, I didn't read the TOS.) Anyway, my PR jumped from 4 to 5 and most of the pages underneath went from 3 to 4. Several pages are still at zero however. I imagine those will come around in time. Kris

Isn't this nice. My site visits are usually within a very narrow range so I can usually tell from my traffic when PR is updated. Noticed a [i]big[/] spike in visitors for Monday, just ran Tuesday's and dang if it isn't the same. No very big moves, toolbar PR for interior pages went from (probably high) 3 to (probably low) 4. Home page still 4, but guess it moved up a couple of notches within that. Whatever, no complaints here. And to think that as of a couple of months ago the site had been gray-barred for a year and a half. Thank you Google gods, I'm no longer afraid of visiting this site with the tollbar on. <added>And now that I look again, looks like Saturday visits started to move up a bit and Sunday significantly higher than normal for weekend.</added>

| Before posting something like that you should check to make sure it has updated on all datacenters...which is hasn't. People in some locations see the update, and others don't.

PR8 is definitely something I can only wish for right now and I hope you keep the reports on your home page up to date re traffic. Has the PR increase had an impact on your SERP positions?

The changed PR has been slipping in and out on the toolbar here. New backlinks and SERPs have been slipping out on the main Google for me also. Still changing some. I've seen it steady on -ex It's not all over but there's enough to see some very good news and one that's a whole nuther story. But done or not, so far there's enough of an indicator.
