a few thought it was actually yesterday for awhile and now today for awhile. We saw a few submissions about this last night and then a few more today. We weren't sure which was accurate.

nice well done :) I've a load of new sites that have moved up to PR5's a few PR6's and even less PR7's but theres always next time round
3:59 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
Several of my sites are still missing the majority of their links. On EX two of them of lost several links I know are still there.
4:05 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
Well done on the PR8, Made In Sheffield, can I have a link ;)
4:06 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
I'm not seeing the update yet here.
4:07 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
I've seen some new pages on old sites with PR already gain PR. though this isn't a comprehensive update yet.
furthermore - i have also seen some decreases in backlink count on some sites, and increases on others.

PR has increased for me and link count across most sites.

Well done Sheffield - brill

You must have added a lot of links! I'm still on PR6 for SO LOOOOOOOOOOOONG.
5:29 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
I don't see a PR update yet on google.com, just on the datacenters. Is this what you mean?
6:18 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
I'm seeing nw PR in toolbar (standard, no mods to host file)
6:46 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
Mack - I only see a new PR when I change my host file to one of the datacenters. (In this case -ex)
All backlinks and PR changes are on 4 datacenters and not google.com from what I can see.

Same here for www.google.de
www-ex already 1 week ago

Been going on since Sunday. First posted in the Supporter's forum.
8:02 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
Yep, I noticed it Sunday. Guess the datacenter I connect with was one of the first to update. PR, backlinks and new pages were all updated for my site.
8:33 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
No update here as far as i can see (UK)....
How do you change to see what it is in other datacentres?
8:55 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
I posted a similar topic, but my post appears to be "pending". This has happened to me before and I can't figure out if its due to a forum glitch or because some of my earlier posts were "questionable". (Yes, I didn't read the TOS.)
Anyway, my PR jumped from 4 to 5 and most of the pages underneath went from 3 to 4. Several pages are still at zero however. I imagine those will come around in time.
9:45 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
Isn't this nice. My site visits are usually within a very narrow range so I can usually tell from my traffic when PR is updated. Noticed a [i]big[/] spike in visitors for Monday, just ran Tuesday's and dang if it isn't the same.
No very big moves, toolbar PR for interior pages went from (probably high) 3 to (probably low) 4. Home page still 4, but guess it moved up a couple of notches within that. Whatever, no complaints here.
And to think that as of a couple of months ago the site had been gray-barred for a year and a half. Thank you Google gods, I'm no longer afraid of visiting this site with the tollbar on.
<added>And now that I look again, looks like Saturday visits started to move up a bit and Sunday significantly higher than normal for weekend.</added>

Anybody actually read this forum? PR was updated days ago. LOL.
Next up, Bush beats Gore.

>>Anybody actually read this forum?
Not usually anything that says 'update'. But when I see Brett chime in I figure it's worth a look.
10:44 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
"Anybody actually read this forum? PR was updated days ago. LOL." Not on www.google.com it wasn't and i "still" don't see it on there, does anyone see pr update it on www.google.com?
10:47 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
Anybody actually read this forum? PR was updated days ago. LOL.
Before posting something like that you should check to make sure it has updated on all datacenters...which is hasn't.
People in some locations see the update, and others don't.
11:17 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
PR8 is definitely something I can only wish for right now and I hope you keep the reports on your home page up to date re traffic.
Has the PR increase had an impact on your SERP positions?
11:38 pm on Sep 24, 2003 (gmt 0)
There was an earlier thread about Google doing away with ODP, well they went and did it to us. No link from the delta to the dmoz. :(
12:26 am on Sep 25, 2003 (gmt 0)
Okay...I give up. How does one view the PR of any given page across various Google data centers?
12:47 am on Sep 25, 2003 (gmt 0)
The changed PR has been slipping in and out on the toolbar here. New backlinks and SERPs have been slipping out on the main Google for me also. Still changing some.
I've seen it steady on -ex
It's not all over but there's enough to see some very good news and one that's a whole nuther story. But done or not, so far there's enough of an indicator.
12:54 am on Sep 25, 2003 (gmt 0)
Can confirm on that Marcia,
there are different #serps coming up on the db's at the moment, so whatever is happening its swinging
1:38 am on Sep 25, 2003 (gmt 0)
Makes me wonder what SERPs you are watching Marcia and caine? No significant changes on the usual ones that I check to see if anything might be up.
1:39 am on Sep 25, 2003 (gmt 0)
No link from the delta to the dmoz. :(
what exactly does this phrase mean?
i'm seeing g dir and dmoz backlinks...
