While I understand that Google doesn't count any PageRank points from a PageRank0 page and credit my page with PageRank, do they still count the points for the Link Text found in Backward Links on a PageRank0 page?
In other words, if I have a link on a page (with a PageRank0) located on another domain with the link text "Wedding Services By Christyl" would I still get "credit" for the keywords in that link or not?
All links from all pages count as "votes" for your site. The lower the PR the less influence the "vote" has. Anchor text (The actual text in the link pointing to your site) is always important. It's just a matter of the PR of the referring url that makes a difference. If you are looking for places to get links send me a stickymail and I'll send you the url of my link trading site.
How many people are searching for "wedding services by 'name'". Surely people are searching for "'City' wedding services" or "'City' wedding celebrant" or a number of other terms? Too easy to get to the top of "wedding services by name" by having those as the first words in the title etc. Locality terms are more heavily contested, and this is where the keyword links bump up well designed titles etc.
PR as shown by the toolbar is still not always updated/correct. So the real PR may be higher, thus may count more for keywords.
