Interesting Response From Google To A Reinclusion Request
I did not know it was that complicated!

 6:04 pm on May 7, 2003 (gmt 0)

I just received an interesting response to a recent reinclusion request I sent to Google regarding a site that went PR0 back in November 2001.

I am impressed! It sounds like they will have a team of engineers working for the next few months on getting my site reincluded - I did not know it was so complicated. I thought they just had to flip a switch :)

wow a few updates = a few months? Did you website kill some one to have such heavy punishment?

Or they might have quite a backlog of reinclusion requests and it might take them a few months to get to yours.

It really says, it depends on what you did to get "banned" in the first place. :)

Dugger, do you think you can paraphrase for us?

The message that was "snipped" (sorry about that!) indicated that if Google's engineers were in fact able to reinclude the site that it would take several index updates for the site to appear.

I guess bringing back the dead really is next to impossible!

There were some that came back from PR0, which is just about as bad, but it didn't happen overnight.

It looks like they're testing my banned sites at the -sj and www2+3. Does your site come up on those databases? If so, they might be re-testing yours too

The site is showing up now in www2 if I search for the words in the <title> and it does not do that in www - so maybe there is hope.
