Just thought it would interesting to see who has the best top 10 result in Google. No need to state your keyword as we are all very honest here :)

I'll start with a very modest...

Position:8
Competing Results: 3,300,000

Any takers to beat that?!

Position # 2 - Competing Results: 313,000

Quality not Quantity of hits is my aim.

who needs 1,000,000 hits for "cats"
when what you sell is "cat nip"

I know what you are saying mattlamb. This isn't anything serious just a bit of fun especially while everyone is freeting over the sj serps!

#4 for my main category keyword in 2,400,000 results. Not bad especially since #5 is a $4 billion company!

O.K.
Lets see now....
#1 out of 1850....... at least 8 times over
That is to say 8 versions of keywords more or less.
On top of which I get 200 uniques every day to the site, which is valid also as a measure..... i.e. targeted visitors........
Er.... are you with me so far.......żżż

#1 and #3 out of 2,840,000

Bigger is not always better, I'm sure we all know that, but this search term accounts for a hefty sum of targetted visitors to the site.

#4 out of 5,050,000

But one of the best I had was #1 out of something like 36,000 - nothing like getting in there quickly for something topical.

#3 for 4,330,000

It's the multitude of small ones that are bringing in the hits/revenue though ;-)

I think I won this competition last month. I think I have an even better chance this month.
#1 for "Results 1 - 10 of about 4,230,000. Search took 0.07 seconds"
:)
p.s. On www-sj I am still #1 but out 4,780,000 results.

Unless GoogleGuy decides to play...

(A search for "Google" brought google.com in at #1 out of 19,300,000 results)
