Just thought it would interesting to see who has the best top 10 result in Google. No need to state your keyword as we are all very honest here :)

I'll start with a very modest...

Position:8
Competing Results: 3,300,000

Any takers to beat that?!

#13 out of 1,100,000.
I know i have a lot to do.

as the site only has 3 backlinks from google, dmoz and yahoo.
pr is 22/40 = 5.5

Now it has 40 backlinks, the link pages are pr4-6.
Will it get boosted to pr6? and when?
Thanks for your lights...

#7 of 3,700,000 (same 2 word term worldwide)

98%+ of referrals come from 000's of other kw phrases for which we are #1 of much smaller totals - but many of these are popular enough to have two premium links and eight more down the side. I love seeing that...

So far, looks good. But who is "paying" PPC for those positions, or is everyone just optimizing their site?
My 2 cents, WFN.

It is one of the most general words you could possibly think of. There is no 'area' in this case, we are talking about competition based on # of pages here.

www - 706,000,000
internet - 153,000,000
yahoo - 90,000,000
sex - 84,000,000

Unless you are talking things like "a" and "the"
