When is the expected time

When do you expect the next update to begin?

Also, between each update, how many times (on average) does googlebot visit your site?

Alrighty then, we had some weekend fun - let's get back to work until it does update.

While we wait, you can pitch in by contributing to some of the Unanswered Messages [webmasterworld.com].

Here we go again...

It will come when it's ready. Try to not think about the update. Cook a good breakfast, (depending on time zone), go for a walk, work on your sites...

Yes! I can see it too!

It's nothing, and I can see it!

NOTHING, I TELL YOU!

. . . and Linus makes preparations for the arrival of The Great Pumpkin, whom he believes will rise from the pumpkin patch and deliver presents to all the good little boys and girls. At episode's end, Charlie Brown finds himself with a trick-or-treat bag full of rocks, Snoopy once more fails to bring the Red Baron to heel, and Linus spends the entire night in the pumpkin patch, waiting in vain for the arrival of the Great Pumpkin ("But just wait till next year!").

That Charles Schulz was onto something . . .

Yes, I was thinking the same thing - that would be interesting if it did end up being 780,000 backlinks.

Maybe it would be best if people just left that kind of title to Brett... let him start the update thread when it's really underway, and then everyone else can climb aboard.

Googleguy, would you PLEASE just tell everyone when the update will be? It looks like it is at the point now that it is so late people are hallucinating backlink changes. ;)

I'm all Googled out.

Didn't Googleguy say that they would be getting back to a normal schedule?

Is it possible that they're going to go ahead to a nromal schedule, by having a series of very late updates (essentially skipping a month) instead of having two quick updates in one month?

Sure is quiet...was thinking maybe a lot of Webmasters were abducted by aliens this update. Cleaned out my IE cache to be sure I wasn't missing the 500+ post late update thread.

Any chance Google waits until the Battle of Baghdad is over since it seems to be close at hand?

What has the world come to when we start wondering if war will affect the speed at which we'll find out our next ranking in a search engine.

But yea i'm getting good at looking calm waiting, maybe i could make more money playing poker.
