Google DNS Updates
When do they update and when is it safe to pull old sites?

We just changed servers and IP's around a bit. I don't want to pull the old pages until I am confident that Google has found my new server and I won't get penalized for the move.

Anyone know when Google updates their DNS and does anyone have any info on when it will be safe to clear out the old stuff?

Keep the old site up for at least a month.

I kept my sites up until I spotted the regular (not the fresh bot) Googlebot in the logs... Seemed to have worked out fine. It was about two weeks for the bot to show up but I'm sure it varies depending on the time of the month/crawl.

I would wait until your logs show googlebot visiting the new pages, however long that takes.
