Google Down
first time I see this happened

I have been searching for a few thoudsands time and today is the first time I see a server error message.

Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in a minute or so.

Is it because too many people are checking their new site ranking with the new updated index? :)

Me three. Googles are either responding:

Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in a minute or so.

..or not responding at all. Tested on .co.uk, .de, .co.jp.

Yahoo! and AOL search is also down.

It's actually very down! No front page even from here... (UK)

I feel kinda sorry for them.. since they're currently under such scrutiny from us lot! :)

Get well soon G.

edit: Someone hit the wrong red button? ;)

AOL:

AOL Search Results

We're Sorry. Your search for "all your base" returned no results on AOL or the rest of the Internet . We would recommend you try the following:

Check your spelling.

Remove double quotes. Quotes indicate an exact phrase, removing them broadens your search.

Try using fewer words, your search may be too specific. Example: Instead of typing "Ford Escort MkII" try searching for "Ford Escort" or "Ford"

Rephrase your search using synonyms or related words. Example: Instead of "spaghetti bolognese" try "spaghetti sauce"

Change the way you think when you search. Instead of "Classic Cars", try searching for "Ford Zephyr" or "Hillman Minx"

Make sure that your search phrase isn't a Web address. If it is, put it in your browser's address field instead!

If you need help please visit our help section for assistance in finding what you are looking for.

My site just vanished from the index, and the tool bar is displaying gray for a whole bunch of sites. Looks like the update crashed or something.

It's funny, even though i *KNOW* it's down - I don't believe it, and I keep trying to run searches!

Google seems to be part of my subconcious now. Guess I go to alltheweb for the day!
