Now we are talking about two different issues. Inktomi powers the site search of articles, but editors add to the web guide. My advice is to be highly visible within your topic so an editor cannot miss your site.
Many guides do not have an obvious submit form. Just the other day I noticed a great guide that removed the submit form because of irrelevant submissions. The key in these situations is to know someone or be known by someone.
My understanding is that Business 2.0 Web Guide is no longer accepting submissions, as it is no longer an ongoing project. The site used to contain a suggest a URL link, which I effectively used to suggest and ultimately place a few sites in the Guide. After Business 2.0 was acquired by Time, Inc. recently, however, and Business 2.0's original staff was laid off (nearly in full), I recall reading that the Web Guide project had ceased and the Guide would no longer be updated.
