Search Engine Commando Advertised on Web Master World Andrew Thomas msg:703856 2:55 pm on Oct 9, 2002 (gmt 0) Ive noticed the search engine commando, advertisment on Webmaster World.
Is this any good, or is it like Web Position Gold, where ive heard it can damage your google position, as google doent like these sort of programs, or is this one different as it is being advertised on this forum.

That's not an advertisement - those are the sponsors who generously helped to underwrite the cost of the WebmasterWorld conference [ webmasterworld.com].
Most search engines, does not allow automated querying of their database - it's against their terms of service.
And if the software does anything like that, then it can *potentially* have a negative impact.
Personally, I don't go in for software of this sort...just my .02 cents.

I was trying to research this a few days ago, and found the few references on the forums cut. I posted as below :-
Leaves me confused on the etiquette of posting brand names?
